Reporting and dashboards people actually use

Most dashboards get built, checked for a fortnight, then quietly abandoned. Usually nobody agreed what the numbers meant, or the data behind them stopped arriving on time.

We build reporting around the decisions it has to support, on data that refreshes itself, with definitions everyone agreed first.

What we do

  • Metric definitions. What each number means, how it is calculated and who owns it, agreed before anything is built.
  • Automated data feeds. Connecting the sources behind the report so it updates without anyone exporting spreadsheets.
  • Dashboards and reports. Built in code that suits the job and runs in a browser, with no per-seat licences to pay.
  • Advertiser and partner reporting. For media owners and retail media networks: results your buyers can put alongside every other partner on their plan.
  • Operational reporting. For growing businesses: the few numbers that show whether the week is on track, including what your automations are saving.

The feeds underneath are the same work as our data integration and apps service, and advertiser reporting connects directly to retail media measurement.

How it works

  1. Decisions first. Who reads the report, and what do they decide from it?
  2. Definitions. Every metric agreed in writing, with an owner.
  3. Data. Sources connected and the feeds automated.
  4. Build. A first version quickly, then refined with the people using it.
  5. Hand over. Documentation and training, so your team can run it without us.

Why work with us

Adaptiv’s founder, Carl Carter, spent 15+ years at IRI and then Circana, where reporting was the product: the measurement hundreds of global brands used to judge their media partners. We know which reports get read and which get filed.

Because we also build the data pipelines and automations behind the numbers, your dashboards sit on data that keeps arriving.

FAQ

Which tools do you build in?

We build in a range of coding languages, chosen to suit your needs, so there is no need for expensive licences for tools like Power BI. If your team already pays for one, we can build there instead.

Can you fix our existing dashboards?

Often, yes. Most problems start with the definitions or the data feeds, so we check those first.

Do you build reporting for advertisers as well as internal teams?

Yes. For media owners and retail media networks, advertiser-facing reporting is often the most valuable piece, because it is what buyers compare you on.
